The airflow is projected at a 45° angle to create the necessary tension for straightening without the need for extreme heat, thus reducing damage and breakage.
The device comes with three pre-set temperature settings (80°C, 110°C, and 140°C) to suit various hair types and styling preferences. The Dyson Airstrait also features an intelligent heat control system that uses glass bead thermistors located in the arms of the machine. These sensors regulate the temperature up to 16 times per second to prevent heat damage and ensure your hair remains healthy and shiny.
Designed for efficiency, the Dyson Airstrait features a high-speed Dyson Hyperdymium motor that spins at 106,000 rpm, creating powerful airflow. This enables the machine to propel 11.9 liters of air per second through the device, generating up to 3.6 kPa of air pressure—sufficient to straighten hair while drying it. With an intuitive LCD screen, you can easily monitor and adjust the airflow and temperature settings to achieve your desired result.
For added convenience, the Airstrait has a lock feature to help you gently pre-dry your hair and add volume from the roots. It also has an auto-pause feature that stops the airflow after three seconds of inactivity, restarting with a simple movement.
